2. How We Handle Audio Data (Core Principle)
Because StealthScribe AI is an audio recording tool, we hold ourselves to the highest standards of data minimization:
- No Audio Storage: Audio captured from your browser tab is processed in temporary memory to generate a text transcript. The raw audio files are never permanently stored on our servers. Once the transcript is generated, the audio data is immediately and permanently destroyed.
- No AI Training on Your Data: We do not use your meeting audio, transcripts, or summaries to train, fine-tune, or improve our proprietary AI models, nor do we allow our third-party AI providers to do so.
- Local Tab Capture: We only capture audio from the specific browser tab you explicitly choose to record. We do not access your system microphone unless expressly granted for specific features, and we do not record background applications.
3. Information We Collect
To provide our service, we collect the following types of information:
- Account Information: When you sign in using Google Auth, we collect your email address and basic profile information to create and manage your account.
- Text Data: We securely store the text transcripts and AI-generated summaries of your meetings so you can access them in your dashboard.
- Usage Data: We track your "recorded seconds" strictly to enforce the Freemium Time Pool limits. We also collect basic analytics (e.g., error logs, extension clicks) to maintain and improve the software.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
We use trusted third-party services to operate StealthScribe AI. We only share the minimum data necessary for these services to function:
- Authentication & Database: Supabase (Used for secure user login and storing your encrypted text notes).
- AI Processing: Google Gemini API (Used to generate action items and summaries from the text transcript. Data sent via the API is not used by Google to train their foundational models).
- Payments: Lemon Squeezy (Acts as our Merchant of Record. We do not collect or store your credit card information; all payments are processed securely by Lemon Squeezy).
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and encryption at rest (via Supabase), to protect your personal information and meeting notes from unauthorized access, disclosure, or destruction.
6. Your Data Rights
Depending on your location (such as the GDPR in Europe or CCPA in California), you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request the deletion of your account and all associated meeting notes.
- Export your data in a readable format.

You must obtain the necessary consent from all meeting participants as required by your jurisdiction before initiating a recording.
